Class one:
This week’s broad topic is traveling abroad. In class one we are going to look at volunteering, why people volunteer and whether it really is beneficial or not. We will focus on one company in particular, and how their charitable work may have more negative consequences for the local communities than benefits.
We will then debate how effective voluntourism is and how change can be brought about.
Homework: pages 77-78 of the Trainer book.
Class two:
Today’s aim is to complete listening task 4 on page 192. We will talk about travelling abroad and some expressions used in English that relate to this topic.
Homework: page 120 (writing part 1) and page 175 (use of english part 2)
