In class one we began by checking the homework on page 18 and clarifying any doubts with participle clauses. We then did a quiz to revise/learn phrasal verbs, which was followed by a game of phrasal verb dominoes to consolidate.
Homework: Page 21 exercise 1
In class two students started by playing, in pairs, the game connect 4. This focused on the phrasal verbs that we studied in the last class. Moving on, we checked the homework on page 21 before looking at exam technique for part 4 of the reading and use of english exam. In the last part of the class we looked at the listening task on page 36. We went through relevant vocabulary before completing and checking the task.
Homework: Please complete the exam task on page 21.

Your college currently doesn’t provide enough support for students planning to spend time studying in another country. You see this notice in the library.
The college is planning to introduce a special course for students planning to spend time studying in another country. The college principal invites students to send a proposal outlining any problems students may face when studying abroad and suggesting ways in which the course could address these problems. A decision can then be made about what to include on the course.
Write your proposal in 220-260 words in an appropriate style.
