In Monday’s class we looked at conditionals and how to invert them. We looked at a Prezi powerpoint that revised the conditionals, and how to invert them. See here for the Prezi: https://prezi.com/dnmepuxqyeyn/conditionals-cae/
We then did a balloon debate, in which students took on the role of famous people and tried to save themselves for a falling hot-air balloon. To finish class we played a Kahoot to consolidate the various conditionals and their inversions.
Homework: Please complete page 41 of the course book.
On Wednesday we will start by revising the conditionals and their inversions using the following Quizlet set: https://quizlet.com/22822925/cae-exp-mod-5-6-conditionals-key-word-transformations-flash-cards/
We will then practise phrasal verbs by playing a game. To finish off we will look at speaking parts 2 and 3.
Homework: Please complete pages 48 and 49- Exercise 1 and the exam task.

Your class has attended a panel discussion on the action governments can take to promote health and fitness among young people. You have made the notes below.

‘There need to be specialist sports teachers for children and students of all ages.’
‘Some young people are put off by the pressure to compete.’
‘A lot of young people don’t think it’s cool to take part in sports.’
Write an essay for your tutor, discussing two of the actions in your notes. You should explain which action you think is more important, giving reasons to support your opinion.
You may, if you wish, make use of the opinions expressed during the discussion but you should use your own words as far as possible.
Write your essay in 220-260 words in an appropriate style.
