Hi guys. In class one we looked at language and culture on page 31. We began by attempting to define what culture is, and why the word is so ambiguous. We then listened to three people speaking in exercise 2 about what their definition of culture is, and decided on our own version. In exercises 4 we discussed the quotes about culture.
Homework: Please complete the exam task on pages 34 and 35.
In class two we are going to focus on Halloween. We will look at a fact or fiction quiz, and discuss our own fears. There will also be some practice for parts 4 and 6 of the reading and use of english, and part 2 of the speaking exam.
Homework: I will provide you with photocopies in class of the homework this week as they don’t come from the book.
