In class one we will correct the homework and revise the present simple and continuous. We’ll also look at certain expressions in exercises 5 and 7 on page 10 which require the present continuous.
Following on students will practise using functional language to persuade, explain, describe and advise.
We will play a Kahoot to practise the linking words but, and, because and so.

In class two we will move onto a new topic in the book, which is all about sport.
Students will begin with general discussion about sport and what they enjoy to watch and play. We will then complete activities 2-5 on page 14. Because the homework task is quite complicated at first, we will look at exam technique for part 3 of the reading exam (on page 14).
Following this students will complete the listening task on page 17.
