Class one
Hi guys,
In class one we are focusing on part 3 of the Use of English exam which is word formation. Today we will focus on part 3 of the use of english exam (word formation). We will look at prefixes on page 19 of the course book, as well as suffixes from the following handout.
In pairs, students will then create their own exam tasks for their partners to complete.
We will finish the class with a Kahoot to practise some common word formations from the CAE exam.

Class two
In class two we are going to work on writing skills, focusing specifically on report writing (pages 22-23). As the topic of the report is festivals, we will also discuss festivals in Spain, and how they are celebrated. We’ll then look at an example question and how to answer it.
Homework:
In your English class you have been discussing festivals around the world. Your tutor has asked you to write a report on a popular festival in your country that may interest other students. Your report should:
- Describe the event, saying where and when it takes place
- Say how popular it is and why
- Outline some changes you think should be made
Write your report in 220-260 words in an appropriate style.
