Hi guys, here is the plan for this week:
Class one:
Today we are looking at sport and sports psychology. We will discuss how to be successful in sport and what physical and mental traits are required. We’ll watch a video about the application and usefulness of sports psychology:
The main task of the class was to analyse and complete a reading part 6 exam task, based on the topic of sports psychology. We worked through it in conjunction with this powerpoint:
Homework
Complete the exam task on pages 22 and 23.
Class two
In class two we are going to work on writing skills, focusing specifically on report writing (pages 26-27). As the topic of the report is festivals, we will also discuss festivals in Spain, and how they are celebrated. We’ll then look at an example question and how to structure and answer it.
Homework:
In your English class you have been discussing festivals around the world. Your tutor has asked you to write a report on a popular festival in your country that may interest other students. Your report should:
- Describe the event, saying where and when it takes place
- Say how popular it is and why
- Outline some changes you think should be made
Write your report in 220-260 words in an appropriate style.
Also complete exercises 1 and 2 on page 28
