Class one
Hi guys,
Today in class we will focus on speaking part 1 and Reading and Use of English part 4.
We will begin by answering the questions in exercise 1 on page 15 before studying collocations with the verbs ‘make’ and ‘give’ : Quizlet Live . Following on we’ll look at page 14 of the course book, and how to complete part 4 of the use of English exam. We will look at 5 examples together as a class, and then students will complete exercise 1 in pairs.
To finish we will play a Bamboozle to revise the content from today’s class: Collocations and part 4 Bamboozle

Class two
In class two we are going to work on writing skills, focusing specifically on report writing (pages 26-27). As the topic of the report is festivals, we will also discuss festivals in Spain, and how they are celebrated. We’ll then look at an example question and how to structure and answer it.
Homework:
In your English class you have been discussing festivals around the world. Your tutor has asked you to write a report on a popular festival in your country that may interest other students. Your report should:
- Describe the event, saying where and when it takes place
- Say how popular it is and why
- Outline some changes you think should be made
Write your report in 220-260 words in an appropriate style.
Also complete exercises 1 and 2 on page 28
