Class one
In class one we will learn about irregular verbs in the past tense. Students will listen to and read the story on page 50 and then practise in pairs by asking and answering questions about what they did on the weekend.
Then we will look at the verbs on page 49 and play the interactive game. We will split the class in two and play connect 4. Students have to make sentences with the past tense to win a square. To finish we have a Bamboozle.
Class two
In class two we are continuing with the past simple irregular verbs. We will start with a game from Games to learn English.
Next students will play a memory game in groups of 4, in which each person makes a sentence of a story in the past. The person who forgets the sentences is eliminated. We will finish with a quiz show game related to the past simple.
