Speaking/Vocabulary – Students complete a set of sentence prompts for recommending and criticising  

Speaking – Students discuss the purpose of a review and what it should include.

Vocabulary  – In pairs students discuss whether different adjectives are positive or negative. Then they decide on an intensifier, which collocates with each adjective. 

Exam Practice – Students analyse a exam question for writing part 2(review)

Homework – Students read a model answer for the exam question.

Thursday

Speaking – Students discuss how their coping strategies and the ones in the article are similar/different. 

Reading – students answer a set of question about the modal answer from the homework designed as a guided discovery for structure and content.

Exam focus – Students review register, conventions, grammar, vocabulary etc. related to writing reviews. 

Homework – Students write a review.
