Vocabulary– Individually, students match two halves of compound nouns related to sports before checking as a whole class.

Writing & vocabulary – Students use the compound nouns to complete sentences.

Writing & grammar – In pairs students correct six sentences with mistakes in comparative and superlative forms.

Vocabulary & speaking – Students are given a pair of pictures from Speaking part two and have to brainstorm vocabulary and expressions that could be used to describe said pictures before pooling ideas as a class.

Speaking – Students complete a speaking part 2

Thursday

Speaking & Vocabulary – In pairs students match vocabulary related to psychology to their definitions. 

Writing & Vocabulary – Students use the vocabulary from the previous activity in a gap fill task.

Speaking – Students review useful expressions for part 3 of the speaking

Speaking – Students complete a part 3 Speaking task in pairs about the topic of mood.
