Class 1 – Monday, November 22d

Happy Monday, everyone! Today we are going to revise and expand our vocabulary working through a unit 9 – In my classroom.
First we will begin with a little game to test our memory and revise a vocabulary we already know:

Students will have 1 minute to look at the picture on the whiteboard and they will try to remember as many school objects as possible. When the time is up, the picture will be hidden and students will name all the school objects that can remember from the picture. Each object brings 1 point. The winner is the student with a best memory!

We will then open our books and do activities A and B on the page 22. Activity B will help us not only learn but also revise previous unit, for example prepositions of place, school subjects and it is also  listening practice.

We will then watch this video about different classrooms around the world and talk about it, compare it to our classroom and give our opinion:

We will then finish our book work with activities C and D, where D activity is where students will practice asking various questions about classes and decide what their answers will be.

Our last thing for today will be a video of a flexible classroom in Virginia, US:

Would you prefer to have one of these flexible classrooms or do you like your classroom as it is? What are the advantages of your classroom? We’ll have a little discussion and try to answer these questions before we finish the class.
