Monday 14th

Today we will move onto a new chapter in the book called Broadening Horizons. We will look at intelligence and how to measure it, then complete a short IQ test and discuss how (in)effective they are in measuring intelligence. 

We will revise part 1 of the use of English (on page 92/93) and complete a Quizlet Live about adverb and adjective collocations. Students will then make questions from these collocations to interview each other. 

We will also complete the following listening task:

Wednesday 16th

Today we will focus on speaking part 2, and in particular comparing and contrasting. We will play a game in pairs to see which students have the best eyes!

Then we will look at what language we can use to compare and contrast, and then put it into practice with a guided speaking activity. We will listen to a sample answer from speaking part 2, and then students will complete exam practice tasks in pairs.
