To begin class we will watch this video about jobs, and then discuss the following questions in pairs or small groups.

  1. What did you want to be when you were a child?
  2. What are some of the best and worst jobs you can think of?
  3. If every job paid the same amount of money, which job would you prefer to do?
  4. Do you think what job someone has determines who they are?
  5. If you have children would you ever dissuade them from choosing a particular career?

This will lead into speaking part 2 exam practice.

We will focus on part 4 of the exam, and 7 expressions/ phrasal verbs connected to the world of work. We have a Kahoot to learn the expressions, and afterwards students will complete a part 4 exam exam task using the words we learned to finish the sentences. 

Following on we will complete a listening part 4 exam task. We also have some speaking part 3 and 4 practice as well as a revision of report writing.
