Homework

Your class has attended a panel discussion on how technology has impacted – both positively and negatively – on our daily lives. You have made the notes below.

Which aspect of our life has been affected most by technology?

– Education

– Technology addictions

– Workplace productivity

Some opinions expressed in the discussion:

  • “Technology has changed the ways of education and learning methods. We were not able in the past to get information so quickly and with such flexibility.”
  • “Most children and teens are addicted to the internet. For them, technology is a toy. This can be a good change, but what about creativity and their brain development?”
  • “Such technological changes in business will reduce production costs and increase profits.”

Write an essay for your tutor, discussing two of the methods in your notes. You should explain which aspect has been impacted on the most, giving reasons to support your opinion.

You may, if you wish, make use of the opinions expressed in the discussion but you should use your own words as far as possible. Write your essay in 220-260 words in an appropriate style.

Watch the video on page 68 and then find ten examples of relative clauses in exercise 1
