Monday / Tuesday
Today we are starting a new topic on page 104, which is all about TV. We will start off by discussing the question below in pairs.
We then have a short questionnaire about our own habits and a general discussion about TV habits. Next there is a video we will watch about binge watching and whether it can actually be good for us.
Why do we binge-watch (and is it actually good for us)? – BBC Ideas
Based on this we will study some new vocabulary and then work in small groups to discuss some debate topics.
All materials will come from the following worksheet, though we won’t complete every activity.
We will also look at some exam practice related to part 3:
Homework
Categorise the vocabulary connected to television and complete the sentences below. Then categorise the useful language for speaking part 3.
Wednesday/Thursday
Today we will begin by correcting the homework and then incorporating it into a speaking part 3 and 4 exam practice. We will also complete the listening part 3 task on page 106. We will then complete a use of english (part 3) task. If we have time, we will finish with a Kahoot.
Homework:
Exam students should complete BOTH questions. Non-exam students should complete the REPORT as a minimum, but of course you can also send me the essay as well!
