Today we will learn how to give advice. We will start with a video from Kung Fu Panda, and general discussion of the topic:

Asking for Advice:

  • How do you usually ask for advice when you have a problem?
  • Can you think of a time when you needed advice, and how did you go about getting it?
  • What kinds of people do you turn to for advice, and why?
  • In what situations do you find it most challenging to ask for advice?
  • How important do you think it is to seek advice from others?

Giving Advice:

  • When someone asks you for advice, how do you approach helping them?
  • What are some common pieces of advice you find yourself giving to friends?
  • Can you share a time when you gave advice that had a positive impact on someone’s situation?
  • What do you think are the most important qualities for someone giving advice to have?

Scenario-based Questions:

  • If a classmate is struggling with their homework, how might you help them by giving advice?
  • You have a friend who is feeling stressed about exams. How would you advise them to manage their stress?
  • Your sibling is having trouble making friends. How can you give them advice on building friendships?
  • What advice would you give to a friend who is nervous about speaking in front of the class?
