Before we start, tell me a little about your Fallas break. What did you do? Where did you go? Did you dress up as fallera/fallero? Do you like the celebrations? Why/why not?
Monday:
Today we are going to take a look at modal verbs of ability and possibility.
Before we look at the Powerpoint presentation I have prepared, I would like to ask you some questions about:
Can you think of examples of modal verbs of ability in English?
Are they the same as in Spanish?
Can you think of examples of modal verbs of possibility in English?
Are they the same as in Spanish?
What happens with the verb «could»?
Do we use it the same way in Spanish?
Now let’s look at the Powerpoint presentation and learn about these modals in more depth.

Let’s turn to page 44 of your book at do exercises 1,2,3 and 4 of the grammar section.

Wednesday:
Let’s continue using our book this week but for a change let’s move on to a new topic: Unit 8 Getting Away, pg. 46.
Let’s start by watching the video about dream holidays and answering the questions about your dream holiday, I want to know all about what you would love to do!
Now let’s do ex. 1 and try to name the different types of holidays we can see in the photos, followed by ex. 2 where you do the quiz but then you compare answers with all your classmates as we talk about our preferences and reasons all together!
Now we will go to pg. 133 to find out our results! Do you agree with what the book says? Why or why not?
Finally let’s do ex. 4 using the words in blue from the quiz and to finish let’s do some speaking practise by answering the questions at the end of the page.
