We will start class by correcting the homework and revise how to form conditional sentences.

To practise the first conditional students will be given two situations in which they have to persuade the teacher. In situation one they each have to create the best argument to borrow their parents’ car, while in the second they have to convince the teacher not to speak with their parents about bad behaviour.

In the next activity we will practise the second conditional. Students will work in two teams. One student in each team is in the hot seat. He or she writes the answer to a question in secret, while the other students have to try to guess that same answer.

We will go on to speak about exercise 2 on page 74, which is a listening activity about how to become a famous Youtuber. We will discuss what type of word might go into each gap and what students think the answer will be. We’ll listen to the task and check each answer. We will have a short discussion about whether students would like to be famous Youtubers, and what their channels would be about.

To finish off the class we will play a Kahoot to practise the grammar we’ve been covering over the past two classes.
