Class one
Today we will start a new topic which is all about jobs. We will learn different types of jobs by playing the games below.
We will then talk about what jobs our parents have and also we want to be when we are older.
Students will then work in pairs to write a description of a job, saying what the person does in their job, and what clothes they wear when they do the job. The other students then have to guess the job based on the description.
Class two
Today we will kick off with a game to revise the different jobs and what they do.
Following on we will review the present simple and continuous to ensure students are completely familiar with them. We will play two games to help with this. First of all we will play Headbands, in which students formulate and answer present simple questions. We’ll revise the present continuous with a game from Games to Learn English.
Next we will play a game from the British Council which includes the present simple and present continuous.
