Welcome back everybody. I hope you all had a lovely time over the festive period! Today we will start off class with some general discussion about our breaks, and then play a short guessing game in pairs about the best presents we received.
We’ll then look at the experiences of 5 people over this christmas, and discuss some difficult vocabulary from the text. We will do a quick revision of verb patterns and then students will work in groups to answer questions about 2020 and the year ahead.
We will finish off the class with a Kahoot.
Homework: This is part of a letter you received from you English speaking friend:
“I just received your christmas card. It came a little late but thank you so much! Anyway, you know I don’t know a lot about Christmas in Spain so tell me all about it. What events did you celebrate, and how did you celebrate them? Are there any special traditions, or is there any special food you eat at this time of the year? One last thing, I got a terrible sweater from my Auntie. I don’t want to upset her but I can’t wear it! What should I do?!”
