Class one
In class two we will start off by looking at some adjective-noun collocations on page 66 and 67.
Following on we will look at the speaking tasks on pages 69 and 70. We will work through exam techniques related to giving and asking for opinion, as well as synonymous phrases for dis/agreement.
Class two
In the second part of the class we will start a new topic based on free time and leisure activities. We will start off with some general discussion in groups about music:
- What genres of music do you enjoy?
- Do you enjoy music from your own country or other countries more? From which other countries?
- Can we learn about a culture from the music that it produces? What have you learned from foreign music?
- How and why does music speak to our emotions?
- Would you be interested in a career in the music industry? Why, why not?
We will then look at pages 74-75 of the book and complete the task from part 4 of the listening exam.
We will finish off the class by completing exercise 1 on page 75, and then play a Kahoot to test our memory of them.
