Class one
Today we will start off the class with exam practice relating to part 2 of the speaking test (page 102-103. We will look at the photos on page 102 and connect the vocabulary in exercises one to each photo. Then we will complete exercises 3 and 4, which focus on technique and phrases we can include when we speak.
Students will then work in pairs to complete the questions about the two sets of photos on page 103.
We will then complete the following listening task:
To finish off the class we will play the following Baamboozle, which includes a selection of questions from various parts of the Use of English exam.
Homework:
Complete the part 4 exam task on page 104.
Class two
Today we will start off by correcting the homework and clarifying any doubts.
We will then complete the following part 3 speaking task about the way technology has affected the world we live in.
Following on we will complete this listening task about the effects of technology and information overload.
Finally, we will examine the essay task on pages 104-105 and put the cohesive devices, in activity 4, back into the text.
