Class one
In class one we will revise modal verbs of ability, possibility, and obligation on page 112.
We will then focus specifically on modal verbs of deduction since these are extremely useful for part 2 of the speaking exam. We will practice the following expressions to talk about photos:
- S/he can’t be… (impossible)
- There’s absolutely no way s/he is… (impossible)
- He might/may/could well be… (possible)
- There’s every chance that he’s… (possible)
- He must be… (almost certain)
- I’m pretty sure he’s… (quite certain)
- There is no doubt in my mind that… (certain)ç
