Class 1: Tuesday 26th October
I will first collect your homework – Writing Part 1 essay – exercise 3 on page 21.
We will start with listening exercise 2 on page 21.
On page 22 we will briefly look at the Reading and Use of English exercise, which will be for homework.
Next we will discuss Writing Part 1 of the exam – an essay. On page 23 there is a task which will be for homework. We will discuss possible ideas for writing this question, looking at the writing guidance on pages 234-235, doing some exercises and looking at the key language to be used.
Finally, we will look at Speaking Part 2 of the exam on pages 24-25.
Homework due Thursday 28th: Exam Reading exercise on page 22.
Class 2: Thursday 28th October
Today we will start withe a little extra work on gerunds and infinitives. Online exercise
Exercises 1-2, page 8 of the workboook.
Then we will do the Zurich fact file on pages 26-27. Exercise 1, 2 – travel vocabulary. Listening exercise then speaking. Finally we will watch a video about Zurich.
Then we will do the starting off exercise for Unit 2 – Keeping in Touch, speaking in pairs.
To finish we will have a discussion about Halloween and do a Halloween Kahoot.
