Class 1: Tuesday 23rd November
First I will collect your articles for homework.
Then we will start Unit 3 – Beyond the Classroom. First looking at the photos on page 42 and have a discussion about learning, how it has changed in the past and for the future. Watching this video about artificial intelligence in China.
Then we will start the 1st and 2nd conditionals – exercises 1-4 on page 44.
Further speaking practice using conditionals in exercise 5.
Push yourself C1 – other conditional structures.
Homework for Thursday 25th: Reading exercise 3 on page 43.
Class 2: Thursday 25th November
We will start by correcting the reading homework on page 43, then have a discussion using the questions below about technology and learning.
Then we will do some vocabulary on education and study – exercises 1 & 2 on page 45 including a speaking.
On page 46 we will see how the B2 writing exam is marked, doing some exercises on this and looking at writing an email for Part 2 of the exam.
Finishing with a listening exercise 3 on page 47 – the difference between complaining to someone or complaining about someone.
Homework for Tuesday: Writing an email – exercise 5 on page 46.
