Class 1 – Tuesday, January 25th
Hello everyone! Today we will start by learning a difference between „too“ and „enough“.
We’ll start with a listening activitiy 1 and continue with activities 2 and 3 on page 32.
We’ll have a speaking practice with an activity 4 on page 32: we’ll imagine a scenario where we need to find a great birthday present for a friend. What could it be? Something not too big and definitely something cheap enough so we can afford it!
To give us an idea, we’ll watch this video on buying a birthday gift first:

Class 2 – Thursday, January 27th
Hi everyone! Today we will spend more time on different types of shops and where to buy different things, starting from sports equipment to groceries.
Before we start the activity, we will watch the following video first to remember vocabulary:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xp3qmdvoYUY
We will have a role-play game called „Shopping around“: In groups, students stand a card up on their table to show the name of their shop, e.g. bakery. The aim of the activity is to be the first group to buy all the items on their shopping list. To do this, each group sends out one student (the customer) from their group to buy the first item on their shopping list. The students left waiting at the table take it in turns to be the shop assistant for their shop. The customer then goes to what they think is the right shop and begins a conversation with the shop assistant, e.g. ‘Hi, have you got…?’ If the shop assistant has the item, they sell it to the customer and hand over a shopping item picture card. The first group to buy all the items from their shopping list is a winner!
