Friday 28th

  1. Today we will continue with chapter 10, which concerns cultures and traditions around the world. We will focus more specifically on dating and romance. First of all we will watch the following video about dating customs, and discuss the conversation questions in pairs.

What Dating Is Like Around The World

  • What are the most common ways for people to meet potential dates nowadays, and how much do these differ from the past?
  • What is a typical first date in Spain?
  • Is it a man’s responsibility to ask a woman out? If you’re a woman, have you asked a man out on a first date?
  • Who should pay on a date? What do you think about going dutch (splitting the bill evenly)?
  • Is it okay to date several people at the same time?
  • Is it important to date many people before getting married? Is it better to be with one person for your entire life?
