Class 1
Today we’ll start a new unit. Unit 10 – To the limit. We’ll have a discussion about sports and extreme sports, then do a listening activity on page 133.
We’ll then do a role play in pairs – trying to convince your partner to go skydiving.
Next grammar: causatives. Exercises 2-4.
We’ll finish with the extreme sports questionnaire on page 134 and talk about why people would do each of these activities.
Homework for Thursday: Exercise 5 on page 133 AND Reading & Use of English exercise 3-5 on pages 134-135.
Class 2
First we’ll go over the homework answers. Then we’ll talk about the questions to do with the article on page 135.
Then we’ll go over cohesive devices – exercises 1-4 on page 136.
Moving on to -ed and -ing adjectvies – exercises 1-3.
Speaking – exercise 4 on page 138 and then 1-5 including a listening.
Homework for Tuesday: Write the article on page 136.
