Monday / Tuesday
Today we will revise when to use the gerund vs infinitive. We’ll start off listening to some examples of their use, and work through the rules of how to use them. We will also focus heavily on reading and use of English part 4 (Key word sentence transformation) this week.

We will then work in pairs to answer the following conversation questions:
- Tell your partner a story of when you objected to doing something. What was it and why did you refuse to do it?
- When you have an argument with a friend, do you have a tendency to resolve the situation quickly or does it take a long time to get sorted out? Share with your partner an example a silly fight you had with a friend.
- Some people have difficulty in accepting they are wrong or saying sorry. Why do you think this is?
- Teenagers should be made to complete community service during part of their summer holidays to make sure they use their time productively. To what extent do you agree?
- Governments should make every effort to censure the media in order to stop misinformation and fake news. How far do you agree with this?
- Think of a time you couldn’t help laughing in an awkward or inappropriate situation. What happened, why was it so funny?
