Today we will cover pages 16 and 17. We will:
- Check the homework on page 19
- Review the past simple
- P16 ex 1 in pairs
- PAST SIMPLE: Put the questions in order
- P16 ex 3 individually
- Review the past continuous
Look at how both these tenses can be used in the same sentence
If we have time we will finish the class with a game of Alibi. If not we will play a round or two of Wordshake.
Homework:
Complete vocabulary exercises 1-3 on page 18
Friday
Today we will:
- Check the homework on page 18
- Discuss our favourite sports stars
- Watch a video about gymnast Simone Biles
- Complete page 17. This relates to listening part 3
- We will finish class with a Halloween Kahoot
Homework:
Write a short article about a sportsperson you admire. In your article you must:
- Give background information:
- What sport they practice
- When they were born
- Where they are from
- Say what achievements (successes) have they had in their life
- Explain why you admire them
