Today we will begin class with a travel roleplay in which students come across many problems and many situations they must resolve. We will then talk about:
- Which countries we would love to visit
- Activities we love/hate doing on holiday
- Landmarks we want to see
- and watch this video: World Landmarks
Students will then complete the exam task about the Taj Mahal on page 49
Following this we will watch a short video to learn about how to talk about the past using used to and didn’t use to. We will then complete exercise 1 on page 48 and the following game:
We will finish today’s lesson with a Kahoot to learn about some famous landmarks.

Read the story, then match the underlined words with the categories in the table below.
Friday
Today we will learn all about make, do, go and gerunds and infinitives on page 48.
First, we will look at some of the questions below (the ones we find most interesting) and learn about words which are followed by infinitives, gerunds (or both!) We will then look at the word list on page 48, and then complete exercises 3 and 4.
Next students will get creative, by telling a story which might be true or false. We will use the words we learned for homework. The other students will have to ask questions and decide if they think it is a lie or real.
(Really similar to the TV show “Would I Lie to You?”)
We will complete this bamboozle and then revise when to use make do and go and play with a Kahoot
