Today we are going to listen and sing a rap song about the different professions!
We will use the Student’s book and go to pg. 36 but before we start I will ask you some questions:
What type of music do you like?
Do you know what rap music is?
Who is your favourite singer?
Would anyone here like to be a singer?
If you wouldn’t like to be a singer, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Let’s listen to the song!
Then on pg 37 we will Listen and read about jobs which end in -er in ex. 1.
I will then ask you the following questions:
Can you think of any other verbs which we can add -er to to talk about the profession?
We will then name the jobs which end in -er and that appear in ex. 2.
Wednesday:
Today we are going to learn about going shopping!
In the Student’s book on page 40 we will listen and then sing the song about shopping together.
Then we will think about what we like to buy in the shops:
Do you like to go shopping?
What kind of things do you like to buy and why?
Do you usually go shopping with your mammy and daddy?
What is your favourite shop/café to visit and why?
Now we will read and repeat the different names of shops together!
Let’s play a guessing game!
You will mime different shops and your classmates have to guess which one it is!
Let’s play a bamboozl game to practice our shops vocabulary!
