Class 1 – Tuesday, February 1st
Hi everyone! Today we will be starting a new unit – the natural world (Unit 4).
We will spend some time talking about space, space-tourism, touch on aliens and field our ideas about what could be a big step forward for the entire humanity.
We’ll begin with vocabulary on page 55 and do activities 1, 2 and 3.
Then we’ll spend some time talking about space travel: if you had an opportunity to go anywhere in space, where would you visit? The Moon? Mars? Another planet? Or even beyond our solar system? Why? If you don’t want to journey to outer space, where would you prefer to go instead?
We’ll make some predictions: Will humans ever live in space? If so, by what year?
We’ll make sure we use conditionals, especially the 2nd conditional to talk about our predictions and expectations regarding space travel and space tourism.
