Friday 4th February
Today we’ll start a new topic in the book. It’s all about buildings and structures so we will start with a role play about the best place to live.
We will then complete the following task to help us prepare for a listening task:

Following on we will focus on vocabulary connected to this topic and play a Quizlet Live based on the vocabulary on page 80 of the course book.
Finally we will look at the homework task, which is to write a proposal, and plan our answers in pairs. We will discuss the structure and how to of writing a proposal. Should we have time, we will finish with a Kahoot to revise useful expressions for the proposal. Below is a PDF so you can copy the expressions when completing the homework:

Homework:
There are plans to demolish an old and unused building in the town where you are a student. You feel that the building should be saved. You decide to write a proposal for the town council explaining why you think the building should be preserved, suggesting what could be done to modernise it and saying how the building could benefit the local people.
Write your proposal in 220-260 words.
