Part one
In the first class this week we will start a new topic based on free time and leisure activities. We will start off with some general discussion in groups about music:
- What is music to you?
- Define “good” music.
- What music do you listen to when you’re stressed/angry/happy/sad?
- How and why does music speak to our emotions?
- What’s more important to you, a good melody or good lyrics?
- Do you enjoy music from your own country or other countries more? From which other countries?
- Can we learn about a culture from the music that it produces? What have you learned from foreign music?
- Would you be interested in a career in the music industry? Why, why not?
Following on we will practise speaking part 2 in pairs:
We will then look at pages 74-75 of the book and complete the task from part 4 of the listening exam.
Part 2
We will start off the class by revising exam technique for part 7 of the reading and use of English (the gapped text).
Then we will complete exercise 1 on page 75, and then play a Kahoot to test our memory of these prepositions.
