Today we will start a new topic in the book, all about the animal world. First of all, we will talk about any pets we have and exchange stories not just of the silly things they do, but also the super clever things we have seen them do. Then we will watch a video about a very intelligent dog.

Following this we’ll complete the vocabulary exercises on page 54 and the listening activity on page 55.
To finish the class we will test our knowledge of the animal world with an Animal Trivia Kahoot

Friday
In class two we will learn how to use the past simple and past perfect when talking about two related events in the past. We will work from page 56 in the book as well as the following Bamboozle.
We will look at the homework, which is a short writing about whether it is good or bad to keep animals in zoos and discuss some ideas we can include.
We will watch this BBC ideas video and then debate the topic in class: Should zoos exist? | BBC Ideas
We will then play a Quizlet Live to revise vocabulary from this topic.
