We will begin class with a short video of a blossoming friendship and discuss the following questions:
1. How do you usually meet new friends?
- Do you prefer meeting people in person or online? Why?
2. Do you think it’s important to have a lot of friends or just a few close ones? Why?
3. What qualities do you think make someone a good friend?
- Can you give examples of specific qualities?
- What are some things you have in common with your friends?
Based on the qualities of a good friend we will also play a Friendship | Baamboozle to learn new vocabulary. We will then continue with some more discussion questions:
4. In your opinion, what makes a friendship strong and long-lasting?
- Are there any challenges that can make a friendship stronger?

5. Have you ever had a disagreement with a friend? How did you resolve it?
- What do you think is the most important thing to do when you and your friend disagree?
6. What advice would you give to someone who is shy and wants to make new friends?

Wednesday
Today we will begin with a Kahoot to learn some idioms connected to friendship. We will discuss each expression and our own experiences.
We will then complete the listening task on page 17, which is all about creating a quiz to find out about our friends.
Students will then create three questions each for a class quiz which we will answer together. To finish class we will play a fun Quizlet: https://quizlet.com/cn/603099903/general-knowledge-flash-cards/
