Tuesday
Today we will focus on the topic of social media and relationships. We will do some conversation and listening tasks, and also learn new vocabulary.
First we will work in small groups to discuss these questions:
- What social media apps do you use, and how do you use them?
- How do you think social media has changed the way we communicate with friends and family? Do you believe these changes are mostly positive or negative?
- In what ways do you think social media influences how people perceive themselves and their identities? Do you think this influence is beneficial or harmful?
We will watch a video about FOMO and discuss what it is and how to fight it. Students will then complete listening exercise exercise 6 on page 15.
We will finish the class with a Kahoot to learn some idioms and vocabulary connected to relationships.

Today we look at page 15 and the vocabulary related to personality. We will categorise the vocabulary in exercise 2 before completing the following listening part 4 exam task:
We will then look at word formation on page 18. Today we will revise negative prefixes and what they mean, by completing exercises 1-3. Next week we will continue with word formation.
We will finish with a Bamboozle to learn some new idioms about relationships
