Hello everyone! 🙂

Today we are going to take a look at the use of » be going to» to talk about future actions.

But I’d like you to tell me: what is the verb we normally use to talk about the future in English?

Can you give me some examples?

Now, I’d like you to tell me what you are going to do this evening when you finish school.

Put your hand up and share you activities for the evening with your class.

Do you have any plans for next week?

What do you think the weather is going to be like this evening?

From all these examples we’ve discussed with «will» and «be going to» can you tell me any clear differences between when we use the two?

To help us understand more precisely how each future tense is different, let’s look at the Powerpoint presentation I’ve prepared.

Now we have revised the general rules, I think it’s time to play a bamboozle to check your knowledge!

Remember, we use going to for predictions, plans and intentions 🙂
