Hi guys, I hope you all had a great weekend! Here is the plan for this week:
Class one:
We will begin the class by correcting tasks one and two of the homework, which will lead into the main activities today.
Students will discuss what they thought about the topic of the video set for homework, and about typical foods from their country. We will then learn some new idioms related to food, and practise using them orally. To finish the class we will play a Kahoot.
Homework: Please complete the reading exam task on pages 84 and 85. The second activity is the use of english exam task on page 90.
Class two:
To begin class we will check the homework tasks. We will then look at the main task today which is how to write a film review. We will begin by discussing what makes a great film and also some language connected to films. We will look at how to write a review based on the structure in this slideshare. Here you also have another example of a great FCE film review. Remember, it’s fine to copy some words and expressions, but also try to be as original as possible! To finish we will play a Kahoot to learn some vocabulary connected to films.
Homework:
Write 140-190 words in an appropriate style.
