In class one we will begin by revising vocabulary related to the city centre and shopping. Students will receive a word by zoom message, and they’ll have to describe it to their classmates. We will also look at page 92 of the book.
Then we will correct the homework and revise the causative, covering any questions students may have. Students will also work in pairs to complete the activities on page 93. We will finish with a speaking task in which students practise using the causative to describe places in the city.
Homework: Exercises 2 and 3 on page 97
In class two we will focus on speaking part 2 and the article. Firstly, students will listen to a girl called Luna describing a photo. Students have to match her description to the photo on page 94 and summarise the different things she spoke about. Next we will look at ways to describe objects or actions when we don’t know the specific word. Students will then work in small groups using the phrases on page 94 and describe words from the following link: https://www.thegamegal.com/word-generator/
We will then work in pairs to complete the exam task on page 94.
To finish the class we will revise the article structure and brainstorm ideas we can include. The homework is to write the article in exercise 1 of page 95.
