Class one

Today we will look at modal verbs to indicate obligation, advice, and prohibition (page 26). We will revise what they mean and then practise using them in pairs. Students must make sentences with modal verbs to describe an activity or job. They will read them out and other students will guess.

Next we will play a Kahoot to consolidate knowledge of these modal verbs.

We will finish with the exam task on page 26.

Next we will look at the exam task on page 27 and why the situations might be stressful. Then students will complete the task. We will then work in pairs to discuss ways of reducing or preventing stress.

We will finish off the class with a Kahoot.
