Class one
Welcome back everybody. I hope you all had a lovely time over the festive period! Today we will start off class with some general discussion about our breaks, and also New Year’s resolutions. This will include how they started, some of the most typical resolutions, and if we have made any. We will then look at some questions from part 1 of the speaking exam that are all connected to future plans, as well as a question from part 3 of the exam about making big decisions.
Class two
In class two we are going to look at a new topic in the book, which is all about health and illness. To start off we will discuss vaccines and dispel some common myths, and learn some vocabulary connected to their production and use. Following on students will look at a word formation exercise, and use their newly formed words to complete discussion questions. They will then talk about these questions in small groups. We will complete a listening part 2 exam task on page 40 of the coursebook, before finishing off with a Health and illnesses Bamboozle.
