Class one

Today we will talk about films and the world of cinema. We will start off by working in pairs to determine what makes a good film, and some examples of the best films or series we have seen. We will then look at how to write a film review using the materials below, which will also be handed out in class.

We will also then finish class with a kahoot that includes some fantastic language that can be used in a film review.

Homework:

Please complete either of the two exam tasks from the photocopies. The only difference between the two questions is that the first asks you to review two films, whereas the second question asks you to write about a TV series.

Class two

In class two we will keep things conversation and learn new ways to say “I dis/like”. We will start off with some general discussion in pairs using the following questions:

  • It would be good to be famous
  • Tv series are better than films
  • Pineapple belongs on pizza.
  • Reggaeton is better than Spanish trap

We will learn some expressions to express likes and dislikes, and listen to the dialogue below.

Students will work together to answer the following questions from part 1 of the exam.

We will finish class with a Kahoot.
