Class one
Today we revised the passive voice on page 70. We began with a coded text in which students guessed the coded words based on their knowledge of the passive voice and with help from the table below.
We then completed Exercises 1, 2 and 4 on page 70.
We will then look at the causative /have/get something done) and play a Kahoot to practice it.
Homework:
Complete the part 5 exam task on pages 68-69.
Complete exercise 3 on page 70.
Class two
Today we will start off with some general discussion in groups about music:
- What is music to you?
- Define “good” music.
- What music do you listen to when you’re stressed/angry/happy/sad?
- How and why does music speak to our emotions?
- What’s more important to you, a good melody or good lyrics?
- Do you enjoy music from your own country or other countries more? From which other countries?
- Can we learn about a culture from the music that it produces? What have you learned from foreign music?
- Would you be interested in a career in the music industry? Why, why not?
We’ll then complete the listening task on page 71 about a violinist.
Following on we will correct the homework about random acts of kindness, and then complete speaking parts 3 and 4 on page 71.
To finish off the class we will make a plan for the homework task (see below)
