In the first class of this week we are focusing solely on speaking. We will stay on the topic of television and entertainment in keeping with the previous week, beginning with CPE exam monologues in pairs. Following on from this, we are going to centre reality television and have a class debate regarding its positive and negative effects.

In class two we will begin a new topic in the book: money matters. We will look at some idioms related to money, and then discuss shopping and advertising. We will discuss what makes a good advert, how ads are created and how they affect us. We will work in small groups to complete a collaborative speaking task about advertising.
